You need to get pre-approved upfront in order to assess what kind of savings you will be able to get and what you can afford based on what you’re looking to accomplish. Usually we will look at your credit score, income, home’s value, and your assets to determine your eligibility. However, this doesn’t apply to all programs. The pre-approval process is quick to refinance your mortgage and will answer all of your questions, maybe even some you didn’t think of.
Processing your loan is really only an exercise in verifying some information. FPS Lending will guide you in every step of the way with collection everything that is required to process your loan, and help you located anything that may be missing.
When you refinance your mortgage the Underwriter has the final say on whether you get approved or rejected and under what terms. If for some reason you’re not approved under the terms that you have applied, a counter offer is typically made if possible.
Congratulations! Your loan got approved and any final documents needed will be requested to complete your refinance.
Closing Your Loan
Typically, your closing will take place at your home, attorney’s office, or any other convenient place of your choice. Out team will contact you 24-72 hours prior to the closing to review the final settlement statement, and to make sure everything has been scheduled properly with the title company to ensure a successful closing.
